ALTRACON prepares for future challenges We have recognized the need! The increasing demand for tire testing equipment, retrofits and services from ALTRACON requires an expansion of the companies manpower to further improve our typical strengths. You know these besides others as creativity for custom made testing solutions and equipment with a fair price, reliable delivery times and highest quality. ALTRACON continues focusing on their customers in the future and especially expanded in those functions which are customer oriented. Effective August 1st 2015 Dr. Dieter Barz joined the Executive Board as Director Sales and Service while Ralf Berres continues in his function as CEO of the ALTRACON Group and Director R&D.

Dr. Barz has fundamental knowledge in tire industries and tire testing based on experience from positions in leading tire companies such as Continental/ Conti Machinery and Goodyear as well as from measuring system supplier Kistler. He holds a PhD in mechanical engineering from Hannover University in Germany discussing the influence of tire non uniformities on vibrations at the wheel and ride comfort focusing on passenger cars at high speeds. Dr. Barz successfully built up the indoor tire and wheel test center at BMW in Munich and later managed various global projects specially focusing on the evaluation and measurement of ride and handling and tire characteristics. He was finally responsible for global Sales and Service at Conti Machinery, supplying tire building equipment. His expertise will ideally complement the consulting competency of ALTRACON to be on a par with our customers to discuss and realize future testing solutions

However, changes are not limited to the expansion of the Executive Board. The Luxemburg based ALTRACON is furthermore investing in its key group company ATS-device in Germany, the manufacturing company to build the „made in Germany“ equipment. A significant increase of engineering capacity, number of qualified fitters and administration staff is a fundamental step to prepare to manage your future test equipment projects the way you expect it. This goes in line with a required extension of the production facility and the set-up of a Customer- and Training-Center, which is actually going on.
